Patrick McGill (d.1978)

Patrick, a melodeon player, was a close neighbour of Patrick O Donnell and Jimmy McNelis. In 1950 he married Bríd Ward, Carrick, a sister of Danny, Phonsie’s etc. They settled in Carrick Upper where they had two of a family. Patrick worked in the Kilcar Tweed factory, which he travelled to by motorbike. Unfortunately in later years he became disabled with arthritis and died a relatively young man in 1978.
